July's Newsletter

My apologies on being MIA last month, but I assure you it wasn't in vain. Been busy getting this baby ready for release! Behold!

If that's a full page spread, here's the centerfold:

In case you can't read the blurb, here you go:

"Do you know what happens when you steal someone’s hope? You break them. A tip ... find out what a person’s version of broken looks like before you break them. I’ve been told mine is unpleasant.” (Anna Croix, just now)

Why is Anna broken? Because Spike has gone missing in Central America. Right when her life was finally starting to get put back together.

Figures.

Naturally, she sets out to find him. How hard could road tripping through three of the most dangerous countries in the world with a truckload of weapons possibly be?

Harder than she thought.

Which is why she enlists the help of some unlikely allies—some of which might be planning to kill her.

Kill being a loose term. More like torture to death or blow to smithereens.

Semantics.

Unless she’s not able to find him before they find her ...

Things she can worry about later. Right now, she has havoc to wreak, kingpins to unseat, and ... hearts to steal?

Justice will be served.

It's a heck of a wild ride, and I'm so excited to share this book with y'all! For so many reasons I can't list them all, or this email would be ridiculously long ... and full of spoilers. But some things I can share:

That knife Anna is holding on the cover, is an actual Yarborough knife, and plays an integral role in this book. Not to be confused with the Green Beret knife civilians can purchase, but a serialized Yarborough knife only given to actual Green Berets.

Books one and two had a lot of real-life peeks behind the curtain, but this one takes the cake. Personal on so many levels. From several of the characters (but one in particular), to the experiences, and even the letters exchanged by "Spike" and "Anna" when Spike was in the Q-course. (95% of those were copied straight from the originals. And yes, they're still tucked into my underwear drawer—I mean Anna's underwear drawer.)

On to the release date ... August-ish. And that's as specific as I can be right now. I'm not "allowed" to announce specific dates anymore until the final product is ready to hit the shelves, because apparently that stresses everyone out. And by everyone, I mean everyone on the editing, formatting, and marketing sides. But stay tuned, I should have a specific date soon.

What else ...

Other than the fact I LOVE YOU ALL and can't wait to share this with you, I think that's it for now!

XOXO,

Sabine
